Industry experts at Westminster Uni’s 2019 Event Design Lecture Series

The University of Westminster in London has announced the dates of its 2019 Event Design Lecture Series at its Marylebone campus.

The School of Architecture and Cities will be hosting the Event Design Lecture Series on Monday evenings, starting on 7 October, running until 9 December. The lecture series will see 10 experts explore various design and technical approaches to creating immersive live experiences.

The University of Westminster initiative is being supported by Protec European Events and Event Tech Lab. Professor Harry Charrington, head of architecture and cities said: “This is a great initiative. The university sees this as an important opportunity to share our design and technological expertise and engage with the events industry and professionals in this growing sector.”

The programme has been curated by Dr James Morgan, principal lecturer in event design and technology at the University of Westminster. “The university is very keen to engage with industry professionals and to assist them to further their knowledge in events design and technology,” said Morgan.

“It is also an opportunity for students from other academic disciplines within the university and students from other institutions who have an interest in live experience design to find out about the nuts and bolts of event design.”
