Role Description:  
The Event Manager works within the Global Marketing Department and reports to the Head of Events.  Global Marketing is committed to maximising corporate reputation, client reach and engagement, generating prospects, supporting acquisition, deepening engagement and maximising revenues.

The role is within a dynamic, fast pacing events team working alongside a team of event professionals. The role will deliver centre of excellence for Aberdeen Standard Investments globally, managing a wide range of events across all client channels. This role will be part of a global team but will be principally responsible for events taking place within the UK and EMEA.

Role Responsibilities:

Event delivery
Manage a series of tier 1 and 2 targeted events, both internal and external, for delivery to our key stakeholders.  These events will include internal events, client events, industry conferences and event activity linked to corporate hospitality initiatives and sponsorship.
The role will have key responsible for project managing and delivering events to the highest standard in line with our centre of excellence. This includes all elements of the event management process.
The skillset to shape the event execution from concept to delivery and bring their breath of experience to the role.   
Working with our design team to ensure creative vision for the events is delivered.
Working with a range of stakeholders within the business; delivering the vision of the events to key client channels.
Responsible for managing the events on site and building/maintaining relationships with venues and suppliers.
Responsibility for managing event budgets and ability to negotiate to ensure targets are met.

Sponsorship event support
Work with Sponsorship team to support events relating to our sponsorship portfolio and implement activities to gain leverage with both our people and clients.

Post-event analysis
Ensure all events are fully measured and assessed, using the learnings to facilitate improvements, and feeding the results into the Marketing Department KPIs
Continual improvement process to deliver excellent event practices and standardise globally
Maintain appropriate event administration documentation; H&S, Compliance

Experience of managing events, ideally in a corporate or professional services environment
